Cardiovascular imaging and microcirculation in diabetes:

Clinical studies investigating biomarkers and screening methods to identify subjects at highest risk of cardiovascular disease. Focus is new approaches to identify early stages of micro- and macrovascular disease using recent advances in technology.

Current research

The RUBIN-1 study and the Liraflame study in collaboration with Department of Clinical Physiology, Nuclear Medicine & PET, Rigshospitalet & Cluster for Molecular Imaging, University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

I have a long-standing collaboration with Professor Jan Staessen in Leuven, Belgium both within publications and database construction combining multiple databases including hard outcomes (International Database of Ambulatory blood pressure in relation to cardiovascular outcome).
