Chronic liver failure;Portal hypertension; Cirrhotic cardiomyopathy; cardiac imaging

A prospective 2-year cohort study in patients with liver cirrhosis investigating the development of cardiac dysfunction and the underlying patophysiology. Cardiac function is assessed every six months with extensive cardiac imaging including: cardiac CT with coronary calcium score, contrast-enhanced cardiac MRI, and advanced echocardiography with myocardial strain imaging.
