The incidence of obstetric anal sphincter injury depends on both correct diagnosis and preventive strategies

Abstract

We thank Levin and Rottenstreich1 for their interest in our paper2 . We agree that increased focus on prevention of obstetric anal sphincter injuries (OASIS) is needed to avoid its consequences, such as the risk of postpartum anal incontinence. We certainly agree that both preventing and diagnosing OASIS can be challenging. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
