From European Training Committee to ESVS Academy: The Start of a New Paradigm in ESVS Education

In January 2017, an extensive rethink of the European Society for Vascular Surgery(ESVS) educational program and the annual meeting was conducted. The cornerstone of the innovative program created by the ESVS Academy was the fundamental principle that every ESVS attendee should be able to create his/her individualised training program, that small interactive workshops are better than lectures in auditoria, and that hands on training, including simulation, is better than theory alone.
