Abstract

One limitation of response assessment in glioma using conventional MRI is its reliance on the measurement of contrast enhancement reflecting a disrupted blood–brain barrier. This signal may be normalized by antiangiogenic therapy, known as pseudoresponse. Amino acid PET tracers offer a more sensitive method to identify viable glioma tissue.
