Personal profile

Main research areas

I strive for achieving physical and mental health benefits through exercise and physical activity for individuals not necessarily taking part in this way of life. As a human physiologist with a background in exercise and sports science, I have a specific focus on how diseases affect metabolism and the interaction between exercise physiology and pathophysiology, now especially in severe mental illness and how to prevent comorbidities, cardiovascular disease, and premature death.
