Throughout my professional career I have been dedicated to optimising the quality of care for patients with complex cardiac conditions. My research expertise is mainly within patients with infective endocarditis, but I have also worked with patients with ischemic heart disease, benign and malignant arrhythmias and heart-valve disease. I have worked with RCTs, surveys and qualitative interviews as well as register-based studies, but have particular experience working with patient-reported outcomes as valuable research measures and with the development and testing of high quality instruments.
My main research areas are: 1) Self-reported health, mortality and sick-leave in patients with ischemic heart disease; 3) Continuity of care in patients after PCI; 4) Anxiety in ICD-patients and 4) Recovery after infective endocarditis and interventions to improve outcomes.
I have no relationships that could be construed as a conflict of interest with regards to the content of my research.
