Expertises

Genomics; Register epidemiology; Disease trajectories; Systems biology; Animal modeling, Drug discovery; Epigenetics; Metabolomics.

Main research areas

The main research objectives are to identify genomic and environmental risk factors and disease mechanisms and to link these to life-long disease trajectories of mental disorders using population-based registers and biobanks.

Current research

The main projects include population-based studies and combined into four categories: (a) Identification and risk estimates of pathogenic copy-number variants, (b) Genomics predictors of disease trajectories, (c) Genomics-deduced molecular disease mechanisms, (d) Genealogy-deduced heritabilities and co-heritabilities of mental disorders, and (d) Development of biomarkers of genomic risk factors and of mental disorders.
