Main research areas

The overall aim of my research is to study rehabilitation of injuries to the musculoskeletal system.  A specific focus of my research is gain insight into the structure and function of human tendons as it relates to A) force transmission on a macroscopic and nanoscale level B) adaptation to physical activity and inactivity, and C) responses to various forms of treatment of tendon injury.

Current research

Rehabilitation of Achilles tendon ruptures.

Rehabilitation of Patellar and Achilles tendon overuse injuries.

Rehabilitation of acute stroke.

The effect of low and high intensity exercise on intramuscular connective tissue and patellar tendon in young and old.
