Steven A. W. Andersen is Clinical Research Associate Professor at Dept. of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, and senior registrar and head of the temporal bone lab at Copenhagen Hearing and Balance Center, Dept. of Otorhinolaryngology, Rigshospitalet. He graduated as a medical doctor from University of Copenhagen in 2012, obtained his PhD-degree in Clinical Medicine in 2016, and earned his Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc; dr.med.) in 2023. Dr. Andersen is a specialist in otorhinolaryngology with subspecialty in otology and neurotology

Current research

Dr. Andersen heads the "Temporal Bone Imaging and Simulation" research group that is primarily focused on temporal bone imaging and simulation, including cone-beam CT for patient-specific surgical planning with virtual reality simulation and 3D-printed temporal bone models; mixed reality otosurgical navigation; automated image analysis and processing.
