Head of research for Copenhagen Hospital Biobank Unit and for the largest genomic cohorts in Denmark: Copenhagen Hospital Biobank and The Danish Blood Donor Study.
Head of studies for Master Program in Personalized Medicine and Professor with teaching and supervisor functions, University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Dept. of Clinical Medicine.
Extensive experience in conduct of laboratory, clinical and large-scale genomic studies. Most publications regarding disease mechanisms and risk-stratification, applying a multitude of immunologic methods and latest large-scale genomics and multi-omics.
Translational research in precision medicine through large-scale biobanks and genomic cohorts and biomarker studies. Development of immune profiling as a diagnostic tool for tailored care in patients with (suspect) immune dysfunction.

Current research
Main focus is precision medicine (PM), both from a research perspective and from an education/training – and more strategic – perspective as appointed head of studies for master program in personalized medicine, UCPH and head of research for the largest genomic cohorts in Denmark. My multifaceted focus on PM has revealed a strong vision for me, namely, to use my research leadership of the unprecedented large-scale cohorts/data resource along with my strategic work with and network within PM, as an opportunity to develop the field around PM at a national level and hereby contribute to advance PM in Denmark and abroad.
