Management of laboratory work and sample collection and filing in research projects and regulatory product documentation; qualitative or quantitative determination of endogenous or exogenous substances, disease markers, drug substances and their metabolites; application of these data for patient monitoring; development of cell-based models for elucidation of drug actions. The test objects have been healthy or diseased humans, laboratory animals, drugs and medical devices. The techniques used include liquid chromatography (HPLC); inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS); flow cytometry; immunoassays; material strength test; cell culture; image analysis; electron microscopy; microdialysis of tissue; data analysis with routine statistical and transformation procedures
