Research areas

Currently, I am doing research on the psychosocial aspects of diabetes. More specifically, I am involved in the development and evaluation of diabetes distress interventions for type 1 and type 2 diabetes, focusing on psychoeducational aspects, enhanced diabetes management, and peer support mechanisms. Furthermore, I am involved in the validation of the Danish version of the Type 1 Diabetes Distress Scale (T1-DDS).

Previously, I conducted research on the topic of digital self-monitoring in eating disorder treatment. Using a qualitative approach, I explored patient ad clinician perspectives on the feasibility of a specific smartphone treatment app employed in a naturalistic clinical setting. Additionally, I quantitatively investigated patients' app use over time and whether selected patient characteristics were potential predictors of patients' patterns of app usage.

Main research areas

Current research
