Personal profile

Current research

Currently, I am working as a project manager of a double blinded randomized placebo-controlled cross-over study (CanPan) monitored by the GCP-unit from the University of Copenhagen. In CanPan we collaborate with Zelo Phase 1 Unit at Bispebjerg Hospital, The Department of Biochemical Science at The North Region of Denmark, The Capital Regions Pharmacy and the Department of Biochemical Science and NovoNordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research at the University of Copenhagen.

Main research areas

I have three years experience with clinical research, within hospitalized and community-dwelling older adults. My scientific focus areas are nutrition and nutritional care for this population, aiming to prevent and treat malnutrition. In my most recent research, I examine the association between malnutrition and cognitive function and further, I am planning my PhD.-project, with focus on appetite and appetite stimulation in acutely admitted older medical patients with malnutrition. I have been working with this group of patients for 3+ years as part of a recently finished (July 2021) randomized controlled trial, OptiNAM (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT03741283), and have developed a strong interest for this group of patients.
