1. Activation&regulation of complement driven inflammation&thrombosis. I have discovered a novel plasma protein (MAP-1) that regulate inflammation and engage in coagulation crosstalk.

2. Translational science/development of methods to assess in vivo inflammation and medical device biocompatibility.

Scientific progression: Since 2010 I have published 38 peer-reviewed papers (five 1st, ten 2nd and six last authorships). Co-inventor of 4 patents. Despite a short timeline I have>930 citations(≈25/paper), H-index:18,i10-index:26.

Funding and Teaching: The past 4-5 years I have functioned as daily laboratory leader and supervisor for our research group members. In this period our group at Rigshospitalet has consisted of a basis of around 15 research members, students, technicians and post docs. Since 2007 I have generated and administered >10mill dkk of external funding and have had several senior/last authorships. I am affiliated Univ of Copenhagen as associated professor where I teach basic immunology to 5^th semester medical students.
