I am currently (2017) part of the project ’A novel technique for reliable, precise and safe postoperative pain management’, in short ’The Pump Project’.
The Pump Project is firmly rooted in The Research Division of Perioperative Care, The Department of Anaesthesiology, Nordsjaellands Hospital Hilleroed. The main focus of our current research is fundamental work to illuminate aspects of patient satisfaction in relation to peripheral nerve blocks, effects of peripheral nerve blocks and optimal dosing regimens or methods when using continuous peripheral nerve blocking techniques. We aim to formulate an effective pain treatment protocol, implementing continuous peripheral nerve blocks in a way that is convenient to the individual patient in any aspects of perioperative care and the perioperative period.
Partly funded by Innovation Foundation Denmark
The Pump Project is a three-way working relationship between Norsjaellands Hospital Hilleroed, Innovation Fund Denmark and Ferrosan Medical Devices.
