Personal profile

Research areas

Since 1996 actively engaged in epidemiological research with focus on the association between social transition, lifestyle factors, genetics, environmental factors and chronic disease, primarily diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular disease. The main focus has been on the Inuit population in Greenland. With the recent advances in availability of individually linked un-biased information on diabetes-related health, based on clinically collected data and register-compiled information, a further focus area is to bridge the two sources of information on a solid quantitative background.
