My primary expertise is within in vivo models of bone biology, including planning, conducting and evaluating animals studies. The models used in the lab includes disease models e.g. osteoporosis, fractures and immobilisation, as well as models for mechanical stimulation of bone and various knockout mice models.

Main research areas

Bone biology; Osteoporosis; Fracture healing; Purinergic signalling; Bone mechanobiology

Current research

My current research is focused on evaluating the role of mechanical stimulation in bone health and -disease. More specifically the role of ATP release and purinergic signalling is investigated.
