I am an MD, a PhD and a senior physician at The Department of Pediatrics at The Copenhagen University Hospital in Herlev. I am a neuropediatrician and has an extensive clinical and scientific experience in headache. I have conducted a very large PhD study on hemiplegic migraine entitled:" An epidemiological and clinical study of hemiplegic migraine", contributed to revisions of the criteria for migraine with aura (hemiplegic migraine, migraine with brainstem aura and typical migraine with aura) and I have supervised several PhD students within the genetic field of migraine. At present I am dealing with all clinical aspects of pediatric neurology.

Main research areas

Main research area is within headache disorders.

I have done an epidemiological, clinical and genetic study of sporadic and familial hemiplegic migraine. 

I have supervised several PhD students within the clinical and genetic field of headache disorders.

I review articles for several international journals within the headache field.

Current research

I am included in The Master of Headache disorders (guest lecturer at course 5) at Copenhagen University.

I am currently trying to develop cognitive treatment strategies for children (without social or cognitive difficulties) with stereotypies.
