Expertises
My expert areas are prevention and treatment of keratinocyte skin cancers and precancerous actinic keratoses in immunocompetent and immunsuppprssed patients using photodynamic therapy (PDT). I have also special insight on combination with ablative fractional lasers and PDT for actinic keratoses and photorejuvenation.
Main research areas
My research areas include prevention and early treatment of actinic keratoses in organ transplant recipients using PDT. Main research areas are to increase effectivenes of PDT treatment, reducing skin reactions after PDT and ways to measure and detect subclinical skin photodamage and the potential of skin cancer development.
Current research
My current research includes non-invasive methods to detect skin photodamage and the potential of individual risk assessment for skin cancer development in organ transplant recipients
