PostDoctoral Stem Cell Researcher
Jasmin is a veterinarian specialized in regenerative medicine and orthopedic research. In 2020, she obtained a unique dual degree PhD in Veterinary Sciences/Stem Cell Biology from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and the University of Kentucky, USA, where she investigated the effect of donor age on various stem cells potential to treat cartilage and bone injuries. Jasmin has been associated with SORC-C since 2021, where she is managing the in vitro stem cell research related to a large ongoing RCT on treatment of knee osteoarthritis with stem cells from microfragmented adipose tissue in collaboration with Drs. Per Hölmich, Jan Nehlin, and Kristoffer W. Barfod.
As an active dressage rider and former taekwondo fighter, Jasmin hopes her stem cell research will contribute to change sports-ending musculoskeletal injuries into something that can be treated successfully with optimized tissue regeneration.
