Developing experimental designs of molecular pain mechanisms in relation to headache/migraine. Ex vivo techniques (whole cell patchclamp electrophysiology, myography), pain threshold (von frey), molecular biology techniques (immunohistochemistry, calcium signalling, ELISA).

Main research areas

Experimental ex and in vivo target identification and pharmacology for molecules related to pain in headache/migraine.

Current research

Elucidating pain mechanisms in relation to known migraine targets. Following techniques are applied: immunohistochemistry, whole cell patchclamp electrophysiology, calcium signalling, von frey and ELISA.

Potential conflicts of interest
