Current research

The vast majority of meta-analysis have too small information size and too few trials to be conclusive despite a P<0.05. meta-analysis therefore ought to be interpreted as interim-analysis analogous to interim-analysis in single trials. Trial Sequential Analysis (TSA) is a method to analyse meta-analysis considering the increased risks of random errors when the Diversity-adjusted required information size has not been reached. Besides developing TSA, Jørn Wetterslev is engaged in the current large pragmatic trials: the SUP-ICU trial, the HOT-ICU trial, and the AID-ICU trial.

Potential conflicts of interest

Jørn Wetterslev is a member of the task force at Copenhagen Trial Unit to develop theory and software for Trial Sequential Analysis
