Henrik Westh Is Professor of Clinical Microbiology at the University of Copenhagen and Consultant in Clinical Microbiology at Hvidovre University Hospital. He co-heads the MRSA Knowledge Center and has built up a microbial genome sequencing center since 2009.
Main research areas
His research focus is on MRSA and VRE, using next generation sequencing for strain epidemiology, antimicrobial resistance genes and MGE and virulence factors. The goal being to improve hospital infection control and patient treatment. He also researches in sexual health and combating STI.
