Personal profile

Main research areas

My research interest is in person-centered mental health care for vulnerable populations with a special focus on how care systems within an across sectors can be adapted to better meet the needs of patients and professionals. I am driven by the notion that meaningfulness to users is what matters. Therefore, my research Is primarily rooted in applied sciences with research questions relevant to real-world care settings. This means that research questions often arise from challenges encountered in a specific care context, and findings are expected to be fed back to and improve practice.

I collaborate with stakeholder from many different institutions such as municipalities, NGO’s, and mental health care departments in Denmark. I mainly use qualitative research methods to study interactions, negotiations, dynamics, and perspectives of individuals. Recently, I have delved deeper into the methodological field of Qualitative Longitudinal Research (QLR) valuable to the study of processes and changes over time.
