    Main research areas

    My main fields of research are large-scale register based studies related to epidemiology and treatment of cardiovascular disease, implementation of evidence-based treatments and cardiovascular complications of cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular treatments. I have extensive experience working with the Danish national registries and linkage of clinical data with administrative databases.

    Current research

    Registerbased studies within oral anticoagulation (vitamin-k antagonists and NOACs), anti-thrombotic treatment, sudden cardiac death and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, ischemic heart disease, drug-drug interactions, drug safety studies, oncocardiology, diabetes and CV risk, the DANNOAC study (non-interventional cluster-randomized trial on NOAC treatment).
