Personal profile
Expertises
Expertise and knowledge of pathology, molecular techniques, translational research in biomarkers and biobanking.
Head of Nationwide: "Regionernes Bio- and GenomBank (RBGB)
"Main research areas
My main research area is in biomarkers of colorectal, breast and gynecologic tumors. In addition, I also focus on stability and heterogeneity studies as several markers have been proven to require special considerations before an analysis can be performed with conclusive result to follow.
Current research
My current research focus on:
- Genomic alterations in colorectal -, breast and ovarian cancer using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)
- miRNA (miR) profiles as predictive and prognostic biomarkers in colorectal and ovarian cancer
- Genomic alterations as basis for experimental precision medicine
- How to optimize infra-structure for biomedical research
