Research interest and competencies:

As PhD in Self-management Support for patients with COPD, my competences and research activities are focused on how to support and increase self-management and patient involvement in patients with severe illness including how to support their informal caregivers and reduce caregiver burden. My research has the last five years focused on palliative and rehabilitative care, acute care and continuity of care and coherence across sectors. I have an applied and pragmatic approach often inspired by a mixed methods methodology.  I have extensive experience with both qualitative and quantitative methods including the use of patient reported outcomes (PRO). In addition to research, I also work strategically to promote education and research in nursing. I am a board member of the Danish Society for Nursing Research, as well as a member of a national group that advises the Danish Nurses' Council (DSR) of how-to strengthening nursing research.
