Personal profile

Brief presentation

I am an engineer specialized in the operation and management of supply chains with experience in the structure, dynamics, risk and resilience of complex production-distribution systems, including a focus on structural analysis for cyber risk and resilience.

I combine an academic background in mechanical and industrial engineering, operations, and management, with both professional experience in supply chain operations and strategy within multinational companies, and extensive collaboration, consulting and research with industry and universities in EU and US.

Currently, I am working with the Copenhagen University Hospital (Rigshospitalet) in the solution of operational and supply chain problems in healthcare, through the use of data analysis, modeling, simulation and optimization, to advance the necessary digitalization of operations for the shift towards Healthcare 4.0.

Current research

My current research is about the modeling and simulation of healthcare operational problems, such as in the study of the influence of ventilation on the indoor transmissibility of airborne diseases.

Languages

I am fluent in English and Spanish, speak Danish to an intermediate level and understand Afrikaans and German.
