Neurologist at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen University Hospital, and Clinical Research Associate Professor at University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark. Initiator and lead author of the European Academy of Neurology guideline on the Diagnosis of Coma and Disorders of Consciousness. Co-chair of the European Academy of Neurology Scientific Panel Coma and Disorders of Consciousness. PI for ‘Consciousness in neurocritical care cohort study using fMRI and EEG’ (CONNECT-ME; NCT02644265). Member and scientific work group leader of the Curing Coma Campaign, Neurocritical Care Society, USA. Author of "Neurology at the Bedside", highly commended by the British Medical Association (2nd edition). Fellow of the European Board of Neurology (FEBN).
