A Ph.D-dissation about the formal and informal supervision of physicians during postgraduate specialist training. The formal supervision processes takes place in the form of planned meetings between residents and their assigned supervisors, and the informal supervision processes takes place during daily activities and entails interactions with varied supervisors.
