Expertises

My scientific expertise lies within the field of metabolism and integrative physiology with an extensive focus on the physiologic and molecular mechanisms underlying the etiology and pathophysiology of type 2 diabetes in relatives of type 2 diabetic patients but primarily in individuals exposed to intrauterine over- (gestational diabetes) and under-nutrition (low birth weight).
