Personal profile

Expertises

My main expertise is epidemiological research based on registers and questionnaires. As an occupational physician, I am interested in the health consequences of exposures in our working environment and in factors that are important for a labour market attachment.

Main research areas

In 2005, I defended my PhD-thesis about the sick building syndrome and symptom reporting. Since then I have focused on research on occupational pulmonary diseases and musculoskeletal diseases.

Current research

The last years, I have been the leader of projects about health effects related to occupational exposures among airport employees: Heavy lifting and exposure to air pollution with ultrafine particles.
