I focus on translational research in classic hematology, especially iron metabolism and herediatry anemias such as hemoglobinopathies, membranopathies, and enzymopathies.

My current projects are

  1. DAHEAN database: Improved diagostics of hereditary anemias using whole genome sequencing and advanced functional validation tools
  2. Delivering targeted treatment options to patients with hereditary anemias
  3. Utilizing the Copenhagen General Population Study to study hematological diseases
