The research program conducts research on a wide variety of both clinical and epidemiological topics broadly related to the concept of severe mental illness. Thematically, most of this research focuses on either psychosis, substance use, or dual diagnosis, although methods obtained in the program for these disorders are also occasionally applied within other fields. The vision is to improve the understanding and treatment of severe mental illness.
