Aims and objectives

We are one of the largest pathological departments in Denmark, and we service clinical hospital departments as well as general practitioners and medical specialist in The Capital Region of Denmark.

We work closely with other hospital departments in e.g. cross-sectorial teams.    

We perform cervical cancer screenings for The Capital Region which has a catchment population of 1.6 million people.

Focus areas

Our research focuses on HPV, HIV, colitis, colorectal cancer, and cervical cancer.

We participate in the education of medical students from the University of Copenhagen as well as medical specialists.

Disciplines, methods and tools

In 2012 we were accredited by the Danish Quality Model. Earlier we have been accredited by Joint Commission International.
