Aims and objectives

Our ambition is to engage in research, that is clinical relevant and hereby contribute to improvement of daily life for patients with chronic pulmonary diseases and acute infections.

 

Focus areas

We do research within the field of pneumonia, tuberculosis, chronic obstructive lung disease and cerebral infections. In addition we are involved in projects on HIV and hepatitis, imported tropical diseases and diagnostic complicated cases.

 

 

Disciplines, methods and tools

We work together across borders using team structure and wide collaboration between doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, students and other people with an interest in clinical research. We have a wide network of collaboration with national and international research groups. The research community comprises medical doctors, physiotherapists and nurses. 

We have expertise within a wide range of disciplines ranging from epidemiology and databases to  biomarkers and insulin clamp, cell culture,  physical activity assessment as well as mixed methods  and other qualitative methods .
