Aims and objectives

The mission of the Research Unit is to reduce disability caused by age, injury or disease. Our research aims to help people all over the world to lead healthier lives with no or less disability by either transforming the way treatment is delivered, or by identifying the most effective, safe, and affordable ways to prevent and treat disability, injury, and disease. The Research Unit should be at the forefront of discovering solutions with a single goal in mind: to improve the lives of people around the world, today and in the future.

Focus areas

Our current focus areas include:

- Musculoskeletal Disorders with emphasis on tendon injuries and degenerative conditions.

- The interaction between non-pharmacological and pharmacological treatments

- Development of simple and scalable means of increasing mobility in vulnerable populations
