Copenhagen Research Center for Mental Health is an interdisciplinary research center with a broad focus aiming to improve opportunities for preventing and treating mental disorders. They aim to uncover causes and disease mechanisms for mental disorders and substance abuse, as well as reasons for suicidal behavior. Additionally, they seek to improve early identification of risk factors, test preventive interventions, study the consequences of mental illness, substance abuse, and suicidal behavior, and evaluate the effectiveness of preventive measures and treatments. They advocate for influencing societal debates, reducing social inequality in health, and providing high-quality treatment for mental health conditions, while fostering a strong academic environment for researchers at all levels.
