Research Centre for Prevention and Health (RCPH) is a research centre within public health and epidemiology. RCPH carries out research mainly within the fields of population-based epidemiology, clinical epidemiology, and prevention and health promotion.
Furthermore, RCPH provides evidence-based counselling to the Capital Region and its municipalities.
Causes of common chronic diseases. Allergic diseases. Chronic respiratory diseases. Cardiovascular diseases. Type 2 diabetes. Auto immune diseases. Gastrointestinal diseases. Functional disorders. Micro nutrients. Determinants of patient outcomes of treatment. Monitoring of lifestyle, health and disease in the general population. The effects of health promoting interventions at individual and population level including complex interventions. Interdisciplinary research.
Our research is based on a translational approach that spans from basic epidemiology and biomarkers to implementation of prevention and health promotion interventions.
