Organisation profile

Aims and objectives

Department of Clinical Research strives to create synergy and connections between new and established research environments across the hospital and to mediate collaboration with external private and public collaborators .

Focus areas

Diabetes and its complications with a special focus on cardiovascular risk factors, heart failure, autonomic neuropathy, hypoglycaemia, foot ulcers and obstructive sleep apnoea.

Another focus is physical activity and all aspects of training in patients with diabetes, on dialysis, or attending our lower back pain clinical courses

Disciplines, methods and tools

Through strategic research management we strive  to create an effective infrastructure promoting an attractive clinical research environment with the patient in focus.

Guidance is offered on most aspects of research, project planning and conduct, network, data management, statistics and research communication.

The Clinical Research Unit provides physical facilities for all researchers at Nordsjællands Hospital and access to experienced research trained staff.
