CARMEN is a research center which overall purpose is to conduct and promote practice-/clinic oriented health research to support evidence-based practice in the care of people with mental illness. The center's activities include the development, testing, and implementation of interventions and recommendations aimed at health promotion and recovery-oriented practice – preferably in partnership with patients/citizens, relatives, volunteers, students, and employees in hospital and social psychiatry
