Presentation
The Center for Neuropsychiatric Depression Research (CNDR) is led by Professor Poul Videbech and deals with Psychopathology and treatment of affective disorders and depression. The center was founded in May 2015, and the research deals with e.g. electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), magnetic stimulation (TMS), development and optimization different kinds of treatment against depression, psychiatric disorders during pregnancy and postnatal period, and the tension between psychological and somatic disorders. Several of the centre's research projects focus on neuroimaging in affective disorders where, among other things, is being used PET and MRI to map ECT's and TMS’ impact on the brain. In addition, various neuropsychiatric tests are also used to see what effect ECT and depression have on cognition
