The Center for Innovation and Research in Chronotherapeutic Applications (CIR-CA) is located at the Mental Health Center Copenhagen in Denmark. The center investigates biological rhythms and related treatment applicaitons and their impact on mental health. Chronobiology refers to the study of biological processes that follow a specific time rhythm, such as the sleep-wake cycle, hormone production, and cognitive function. Chronotherapy refers to treatment applications based on chronobiological phenomena. The center carries out epidemiological studies, randomised clinical trials witin mental disorders preferabel in co-creation models, and quasi-experimental studies in the built environment.
