Organization profile

Aims and objectives

As the largest urological department in Scandinavia research and patient treatment and care go hand in hand.

Our aim is to contribute to evidence based clinical practice through research of high international quality that both investigates in existing treatments and develops new treatments and diagnostic tools within the urological field. We have a dynamic scientific environment with a professor, post.docs, PhDs, research nurses and a research bio analyst.

Focus areas

We do research within both benign and malign urology and the majority of our research is clinical research and has direct application in the daily treatment and care. We have collaborative research projects with national and international partners, including well known research centres in Europe and University of Michigan, USA.

Disciplines, methods and tools

We collaborate with other disciplines relevant for our research such as oncology, endocrinology and radiology. We mainly conduct clinical trials and we use the newest imaging techniques in our diagnostic research.
