Workshop on Psychosocial Support Needs & Appropriate Support Initiatives in People Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in Adulthood

In the workshop we brought together a relatively small group of leading researchers and clinicians working with the adult onset type 1 diabetes population to learn from their research and clinical work.

The multidisciplinary workshop with approximately 25 international participants consisted of interactive sessions with information and discussions about current knowledge and research gaps in current knowledge, exchange of ideas and planning of future collaborations in this under researched area. Throughout the two days, we intended to stimulate collaboration and to inspire and intensify collaborative research by explicitly addressing the challenges and needs of adults when diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
