Abstract

There has been major controversy and ongoing debate on the
safety of bilateral total knee arthroplasty (BTKA) either under a
single anesthesia (same day) or staged within 1 year (arthroplasty
of the contralateral knee within a maximum of 1 year following the
first operation)
