Abstract

Fatigue fractures of the hip are rare causes of hip pain. Delayed diagnostics of this type of fracture can cause serious complications. We describe a case concerning a 32-year-old male amateur runner who experienced hip pain with rapid onset during his first marathon. After eight days his general practitioner referred him to the hospital and a dislocated fracture of the femoral neck was detected.
