N2 - Dry eye disease (DED) is a common condition, especially among the elderly. Artificial tears are formulated to relieve the symptoms of DED. However, selecting the most suitable option can be challenging, as the products differ in various aspects, including eligibility for reimbursement, pricing, packaging formats, composition, and presence of preservatives. This review provides a comprehensive overview of artificial tear products available in Denmark, highlighting differences in their preservative content and reimbursement eligibility, to support more personalized and effective management of DED.
