Peliosis hepatis hos patient i behandling for brystkræft

Peliosis hepatis is a rare benign vascular disorder characterized by dilatation of sinusoidal blood-filled spaces within the liver. Peliosis hepatis is most often idiopathic and asymptomatic, it can mimic malignancy and is difficult to diagnose. In this case report, a 41-year-old woman with breast cancer developed multiple hypodensities in the liver during chemotherapy. The hypodensities were found on PET-CT, ultrasonography, and MRI. Finally, a liver biopsy diagnosed the patient with peliosis hepatis and the cause was assumed to be due to chemotherapy.
